#ArtZ video projects

I come from a writing background, but that doesn’t stop me from exploring new, fun forms of storytelling. Sometimes, I document my travels (arts-focused, as always) with short reels; other times, I do explainers and quick interviews for my company.

Horst P Horst: Photographer of Style

A Friday evening was well spent at the retrospective exhibition of Horst P Horst, the maestro behind iconic portraits of Coco Chanel, Salvador Dalí and Yves Saint Laurent. This visionary German-American photographer, who shaped Vogue's aesthetic for 60 years from the 1930s, now has over 70 facsimiles and reprints dazzling audiences at ‘Horst: Photographer of Style’ in City of Dreams Macau. Renowned for his masterful light and bold blend of classicism and surrealism, Horst's genius extended beyond mere aesthetics. He championed beauty across all ages, famously photographing Carmen Dell’Orefice from her teens into her eighties. It was an exquisite journey into photographic artistry for someone who works at a luxury print magazine.

Moret-sur-Loing, the town that inspired Alfred Sisley

A little tour to Moret-sur-Loing, a medieval French town that is lesser known among tourists but no less charming than Paris. For art lovers, consider visiting the place to experience what Impressionist artist Alfred Sisley was inspired by.

(Gotta slide in that Belle reference at the end of my script.)

Hop down the rabbit hole with the Hong Kong Ballet, which is performing a shorter version of "The Adventures of Alice" with new music by Hong Kong composer Ng Cheuk-yin at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau from now until May 4, 2025. The production, which is the first of the hotel's residency shows, comes with an afternoon tea set inspired by Lewis Carroll's fairy tale.
